Why dance, sing and play?
Why? Because it will make you feel better and move better! Activities such as dance, stretching, singing and playing games like ping-pong, help people living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) to maintain balance both physically and mentally. Researchers, teachers and class participants confirm that mobility, walking, balance, flexibility and muscular strength improves after just a few weeks of classes, so does self-confidence.
Here are a few responses from PEM participants:
“Encouraging, caring teachers and fellow students are unique.”
“PEM is like a big group hug.”
“I always feel joyful and more confident after class.”
“The preparation, qualifications and humanity of PEM teachers is very special.”
“The music is well-chosen, varied kept at a good level of volume.”
“The creative, easygoing atmosphere. Everyone can go at their own speed.”
“My arms and legs are definitely stronger.”
“Come and see!”
